Description
Avrieux is located in the upper part of the Arc valley at about 1150m above sea level.
Agriculture has forged over the centuries the landscapes of this vast municipality which is also the support of the resort of La Norma with Villarodin-Bourget.
Avrieux associates past and future by counting on its territory several advantages:
- the National Aerospace Studies and Research Office (ONERA) using hydraulic energy brought from the Aussois dams by penstock and four hydroelectric power stations,
- a rich historical heritage made up of baroque churches and chapels, fortifications, and other curiosities.

Opening hours on Monday between 1 pm and 6 pm. On Tuesday between 8 am and 12 pm and between 1.30 pm and 6 pm. On Wednesday and Friday between 8 am and 12 pm. On Thursday between 8 am and 12 pm and between 1.30 pm and 4 pm.
Closed Saturday and Sunday.
Closed exceptionally on January 1st, Easter Monday, Feast of the Ascension, Whit Monday, May 1st, May 8th, July 14th, August 15th, November 1st, November 11th and December 25th.
