THIS ACTIVITY IS NO LONGER AVAILAIBLE AS OF THE 3RD OF AUGUST FOLLOWING THE DESTRUCTION OF THE LAVENDER FIELDS BY AN INVASION OF CATERPILLAR / MOTH.
On our way to the lavender fields, we will start with a bit of history about the village of Chamaloc and the Vercors mountains.
Once in the lavender fields, learn all about lavender production from the seedlings to the growth of this stunning sea of blue flowers! Time to take some pictures!
We will take a detour to the griffon vulture’s reintroduction area and tell you all about Chamaloc’s rich fauna with its old and new inhabitants such as the beaver.
After a series of lavender fields we will reach the woods and learn amazing facts about the local forest.
Going past the compost station we will tell you all about the qualities of lavender compost and return to the Distillery for refreshing drink of our artisanal lavender cordial with mountain spring water!
The tour will end on a visit of the distillery where your guide will answer all questions you may still have.
