Description
Samoëns lies between 700 and 2500 meters above sea level in the heart of the Haut-Giffre valley, in northeastern Haute Savoie, halfway between Chamonix and Geneva, at the foot of the Criou, Samoëns' signature mountain, and a stone's throw from the Fer à Cheval glacial cirque, the last bastion of the limestone Alps before the granite Aiguilles Rouges. Its landscapes offer a particularly relaxing, gentle mountain environment.
Now a true summer-winter resort, it is part of the Grand Massif ski area. Samoëns is equipped with all the facilities expected by holidaymakers, and can boast of having always preserved its traditional architecture and cultural heritage.
The village-station offers a multitude of activities on land, water or in the air, in a grandiose setting.
