Description

In 2016, Xavier and Marie-Laure decided to open a bistro in Lyon. After visiting an old abandoned bistro behind the Bourse du Travail, they were certain: Ravigote would be located here, at 76 Rue Mazenod.

Philippe seats you at your table. You are in good hands, as he has worked alongside Xavier and Marie-Laure from the start. The tables and chairs were designed and made by Jean, a Belgian friend from Atelier J&J. You appetizer arrives: a pot of ‘ravigote’ sauce, served with leavened bread from the bakery Antoinette.

Ingredients are the stars of the show here: fruit and veg, meat and fish, and herbs are all sourced from producers who are passionate about their work and demand the best. Xavier draws inspiration from the produce laid out on the stalls of the Pyod family to create his menu. Along with his team, he works with raw, local and seasonal ingredients.

In the evening, the Chef offers a blind immersion with a six-course tasting menu, as well as a starter-main-dessert set menu, all with a food and wine pairing, to make the experience complete.

At the restaurant Ravigote, pride of place is given to winegrowers who respect their terroirs, the rhythm of nature and fine wine.

To the right of the restaurant, you will find its little sister, L’Annexe Ravigote, which joined the family in 2018.
