Description
Laoise Kelly: Originally from Westport, County Mayo, Laoise Kelly learned music from her father and began learning the harp at the age of 12. She learned from Ann-Marie Scanlon and Kim Fleming, as well as from John Hoban.
Laoise Kelly has been described as "the most important harpist of her generation". She has founded several groups, including Bumblebees and Fiddletree, with whom she has recorded several albums. She has also recorded with a wide variety of Irish artists, including bagpiper Uilleann Tiarnán Ó Dunchinchin, as well as The Chieftains, Sharon Shannon, Mary Black, Dónal Lunny, Kate Bush, Christy Moore and American musician Tim O'Brien.
Tiarnán Ó Dunchinchin: Tiarnan learned the uilleann bagpipes with the Armagh Pipers Club under the tutelage of Brian Vallely and Mark Donnelly. He began playing whistle and drums at the age of 3, before switching to the bagpipes at 9.
Tiarnan is recognized as one of today's finest piper. Several times Irish Champion. An experienced teacher, he has the advantage of speaking French.
