Description
The activity begins with a short visit to Château de Miolans, the most representative medieval fortress in the Northern Alps, which hides behind its high walls a garden with a fine collection of ancient plants.
The class is then split into two groups to take part in the workshops. One group accompanies the guide into one of the dungeon rooms to build a giant model of the castle, while the witch enchants the second group in the garden with the preparation of a few magic potions.
The groups then swap in a third phase.
The workshops are in line with French national education programs:
- History of the Middle Ages: the power of the lord, who organized his territory and ensured its security, but enslaved the peasants.
- Art history: architecture and gardens, studying military and civilian buildings and sites.
