Description

Lac Genin, the Renon and Molonnes peat bogs were awarded the ENS or espace naturel sensible (sensitive natural area) label by the Ain department in 2015. True natural and landscape jewels of the Ain department, ENS-labeled sites are on the one hand preserved through local management, and on the other hand promoted and made accessible to as many people as possible when the fragility of the site allows.

Would you like to discover one of the Ain department's most beautiful natural jewels?
A discovery trail now allows you to learn more about this sensitive natural area in a fun way. The "strange treasure of the Vouivre", was inaugurated in May 2018.

Accessible all year round, this interpretation trail was set up to explain the evolution of landscapes linked to peat bogs and the natural lake. The trail has been designed to be fun and entertaining through the legend of the "Vouivre".
