Description

Ferme du Tiret introduces French consumers to edible insects. Perhaps you've already noticed them under the La Freca brand (from the Bresse dialect frecacha, fricassee). You'll be amazed by a visit to the flourworm farm, where worms are bred on site: the teeming production, the brand-new kitchens where the little beasts are cooked, and the fascinating discussions on the dietary benefits of insects. You'll be able to taste this new foodstuff, as well as the farm's other unusual products, such as chilli peppers, an endemic local vegetable used to make Bressico! These unusual dishes will be accompanied by a tasting of wines from the "Comptoir d'Arménie", also produced on site.
With the atypical local, you're sure to enjoy a bit of the typical from elsewhere... A journey to the heart of Bresse that promises to be full of strange discoveries! Reservations required.
