Duration: 3 hours
With a guide-lecturer and a mountain guide, you will discover the places that sheltered the maquisards of the Plateau de Retord in the spring of 1943.
The maquis of the Ain, the daily life of these men and the military organisation of the maquis will be told to you with many anecdotes at each stage.
A good practice of hiking is necessary for this day. Bring walking shoes and a bottle of water.

14h30 - Departure for the Museum of Resistance and Deportation of the Ain in Nantua.
Duration: 2 hours
Housed in the city's former prison, the museum retraces the history of the Resistance and daily life under the Occupation, the Vichy regime and the Deportation.
Numerous testimonies of resistance fighters, archive films, propaganda posters, military uniforms and everyday objects punctuate the discovery of this rich and captivating museum which will plunge you into the heart of the Second World War.
