Description
Day 1: Arêches (1009 m) - Boudin (1300 m) - Roche Pastire (2108 m) - Arêches (1009 m)
We take the car for a short while to reach the hamlet of Boudin, where we put on our skins. A peaceful climb through the fields to reach the Col du Pré, the view opens up onto Mont Banc and Lake Roselend, the landscape is magical! We continue on the wide ridge to the summit of the Roche Pastire, the panorama is grandiose. We have the choice between going down to the car, or doing a first descent above the lake of Roselend, to the Barme, before coming back on our steps (D-/D+ about 450 m). Return to the accommodation and rest. Welcome aperitif, night in a B&B or inn.
Day 2: Arêches (1009 m) - Planay (1203 m) - Légette du Mirantin (2353 m) - Planay (1203 m) - Arêches (1009 m)
A flagship summit of the Beaufortain, dominating and overlooking Areches, a magnificent face, what more could you ask for? We take the car for a few minutes to reach the hamlet of Planay ? We put on our skins and off we go: we climb the meadows above the hamlet to the bottom of the Légette face. We climb up the face and quickly gain altitude, before reaching the summit. The view is breathtaking! Picnic at the top, before a superb descent where the turns are linked together! Return to Arêches.
Day 3 : Arêches (1009 m) - Planay (1203m) - Mont Mirantin (2371 m) - Planay (1203 m) - Arêches (1009 m)
Another beautiful summit, very wild. As the day before, we will drive to Planay. We start in the lower part of the forest and then climb rapidly, gaining altitude. We arrive in the mountain pastures and the landscape opens up. We leave the start of this route, which is shared with the (often frequented) Pointe de la Grande Journée, and head to the right towards the Mirantin. The summit offers us, once again, a splendid 360° view of the Alps, the Pre-Alps, and the Combe de Savoie, nothing less! A nice and long descent brings us back to our departure.
Back to Arêches and separation.
