Description
ON THE WAY TO BEAUJOLAIS CRUS
Along this wine tour, as you drive through charming towns with beautiful castles, let us introduce you to some of the most renowned Beaujolais wines at a small family Estate and in the magnificent cellar of Chateau La Chaize.
After a short drive direction North of Lyon, travel on the beautiful Beaujolais wine road. Go through several picturesque small villages surrounded by vineyards and stop to take pictures of the historic Castles of Pizay and Corcelles, each one with a distinctive architecture.
FLEURIE
Climb at Fleurie's Chapel for a stunning breathtaking view on the Saone Valley. On clear days, you may have the chance to see the Alps and the Mount Blanc! With your guide, learn about the "terroir" and the different characteristics of the Beaujolais wines appellations.
Then, push the door of a small family estate, visit the vineyards and learn some secrets about grape growing and the different steps of the unique Beaujolais wine making process called "semi-carbonic" maceration. Finally, with the wine-maker himself, taste several "Crus" wines in a friendly atmosphere.
CHIROUBLES & VILLIE-MORGON
Cross Chiroubles and Villié-Morgon towns before passing near the Mont Brouilly, a strikingly beautiful dormant volcano covered by secular vineyards.
BROUILLY & CHATEAU DE LA CHAIZE
Finally, end your wine escapade at Château La Chaize for a second wine tasting in one of the nicest cellar in France! Enjoy several seductive and pleasant aromatic "Brouilly" crus wines in the exclusive setting of the longest cellar (108 m!) of the Beaujolais region.
