Description
"He left the glaciers and eternal snows of Chamonix to settle on the edge of the former Rhone glacier, Lake Geneva. Stéphane Richard has made Chamonix famous since 1996 with his pastry and fine chocolate shop.
A lover of challenges and the promotion of good products, he opened the Les Galets glacier in Yvoire in 2010.
In the heart of the medieval city and in the eastern rampart, the location is ideal and the exposed stones of the main room give a cosy atmosphere enhanced by a contemporary decoration chosen.
A stopover on the shaded terrace, surrounded by bamboos from the glacier les Galets to enjoy an ice cream among the forty or so perfumes in the window (more than 70 perfumes throughout the season), will take you straight to a tasteful escape that you will never want to stop.
All made by hand on site, Stéphane's ice cream ingredients are made from local products. Some are gluten-free and many sorbets are made without milk protein.
For a totally gourmet break based on fresh products, start by choosing a salty variation with a buckwheat cake like the Lémanique with smoked Féra and lemon cream and opt for a breathtaking finish with a solo cup or to share like the Malina (raspberry balls, shortbread, coulis, fresh raspberries from the country and homemade whipped cream).
You will have understood it, the Futé literally falls for the quality, freshness, and inventive flavours of ice cream. A must see to enjoy one of the best ice cream on the French Lake Geneva coast!" Le Petit Futé 2019.
