Description
Located on rue de la Monnaie, the Casabea restaurant is a sunny cocoon in the heart of Lyon's Presqu'ile district.
The restaurant boasts the largest open-air terrace in Lyon: the roof is a huge pergola, giving you the feeling of being outside everywhere. The walls are tastefully decorated, chic and relaxed.
The result? A restful place, with a bohemian chic atmosphere and warm tones thanks to the noble materials used (velvet, rattan, wood, stone). Cosy as can be!
In the kitchen, Chef Surendra, nicknamed Suren by his brigade, concocts homemade dishes and original desserts using fresh seasonal produce, to be enjoyed in a convivial atmosphere on the outdoor patio, loggia, bar or terrace.
What does he want? To offer classics such as fillet of sea bream, monkfish risotto with saffron and crab bisque, a fine Limousin butcher's cut from the à la carte menu, beef tartare... as well as dishes you won't find anywhere else, such as tuna ceviche with citrus fruits, refreshed with tea, lychee juice and mint, and Mauritian-style octopus vindaye.
His speciality? Desserts like the "Apple Béa" or the lemon trompe-l'oeil with bergamot mousse, heart of yuzu cream and homemade shortbread.
Grégoire and Béatrice Talamon, who founded the restaurant in 2019, offer a warm welcome to their guests.
