Description
There is a name for the study and classification of grape varieties. It is called ampelography (from the Greek ampelos, the vine). It consists of comparing different varieties as well as observing their growth and capacity to adapt to different lands.
It is estimated that there are more than 6,000 different grape varieties in the world of which about 350 varieties are listed in the official french catalogue and are suitable for wine production in france.
Our collection consists of a number of rare grape varieties cultivated on less than 10 hectares in france (Perdea B, Muller Thurgau B, Liliorila B, Monerac N...) or even a single hectare (Perlaut B, Pagadebiti B, Lauzet B, Mireille B...) which makes the variety priceless.
