The Coupe Icare celebrates its 50th anniversary this year!
This crazy event, known all over the world, which celebrates all forms of free flight and air sports, will blow out its 50 candles in September 2023… It will be the occasion for an extraordinary edition! In the heart of the Grésivaudan valley, the Coupe Icare is both a breathtaking aerial spectacle that makes the eyes of young and old shine; an International Aerial Film Festival to discover incredible images of aeronautical adventures around the world; a festival of street arts and concerts where brass bands, artists and musicians take the visitor into their dreamlike and offbeat worlds; a large gathering of hot air balloons with dozens of balloons greeting the course of the sun; a trade show to learn all about the latest innovations and meet all the players in air sports; the madness of a gigantic costume ball taking place both on the ground and in the sky with the famous disguised flight contest; a multitude of activities and entertainment dedicated to the little ones… And so much more! The Coupe Icare has been a multi-faceted festival for 50 years, whose magic seduces passionate pilots as well as families and neophytes of the air.
