Until September 22, 2024, the Henri-Lecoq Museum is hosting “Ours, Mythes et réalités”, a traveling exhibition designed and developed by the Toulouse Museum.
Through the lens of this mythical but often demonized animal, the exhibition traces a “Man/Bear” relationship that is as complex as it is fascinating.
The imaginary world surrounding the bear is fertile and sometimes contradictory: it is the seducer, the eater of sheep, the companion of children’s sleep and the mysterious animal that disappears into its den in winter. These stories are echoed in the bear festivals held in many parts of Europe and France.
This off-the-beaten-track exhibition is particularly well-suited to young visitors, who can discover 8 life-size bear silhouettes.
