Description
You’ll travel as a passenger on a very comfortable motorcycle or on a Trike. You'll love the smooth ride that gives the passenger extra comfort. Your rider-guide, Marc, has more than 40 years’ riding experience on 26 motorcycles with 750,000 km covered without incident, and is a VMDTR graduate from the Paris Chamber of Trades.
Marc offers different tailor-made tours, 4 of which depart from Vienne:
- Circuit 1 "Discovering North Isère" - 1/2 day - 116 km: Wind your way along the tourist routes in the hilly countryside south of Lyon, around Vienne, entering the Pilat massif, down into the Rhône Valley on the wine route with superb views guaranteed (our advice: in spring or autumn, go for the afternoon ride to avoid the morning chill).
- Circuit 2 "The Côtes du Rhône" - Day trip - 222 km: Once out of the ancient city, you’ll quickly enter the vineyards, cross the Côte Rôtie wine region (Côte Rousse, Côte Blonde and Condrieu), the foothills of the Pilat massif, and continue through the vineyards of St Joseph. You then join and follow the left bank of the Rhône to take the Crozes-Hermitage wine road, and then pass through Tain l'Hermitage for a possible wine tasting and lunch break. In the afternoon, you’re back in the saddle to go back through the vineyards and ride across the Drôme des Collines with its colourful, soft and varied landscapes before finishing your trip at the Vienne Condrieu Tourist Office.
- Circuit 3 "The Dauphiné Hills" - Day trip - 203 km: We’re off for a nice one-day trip at a quiet pace to suit your choice, with breaks and viewpoints of the Vercors and the Alps. The calm, relaxed ride lets you observe the scenery while enjoying the curves and turns at a steady, relaxed pace. The trip is planned with a coffee break in the morning and afternoon and lunch stop in a restaurant with simple, quality cuisine at a sensible price (not included)
- Circuit 4 "The PILAT Massif" Day trip - 185 km: Our tour starts by climbing to Chapelle de Pipet for a nice view of Vienne, then it’s back down along the Rhône to join the right bank at Ampuis, where we pass in front of Château Guigal, then on through the vineyards of the Côtes Rôties to the viewpoint of Semons and back down to Condrieu. We then enter the Pilat massif from the south at the village of Pélussin, heading towards the highest summits, before a lunch break in one of the high-altitude restaurants, the afternoon leading us towards other passes and panoramic roads, riding through pretty villages in carved stone, including Sainte-Croix-en-Jarez. The trip continues, winding through the north of the massif before returning to Vienne.
Possibility of motorcycle rides for 2 people with a second rider: advance planning is necessary here. Full motorcycle equipment, comfort and safety are a top priority.
