Description
Le Blind Pig has a curious name and a modest façade… As soon as you step through the door, the aromas from the kitchen hint at the exotic range of dishes on the menu.
'Blind pig' was a name given to speakeasies in Prohibition-era America, but there is nothing clandestine about the drinks served here: you can choose from a selection of 70 gins from around the world (including Australia, the US, Japan, Israel and Spain) as well as the restaurant's very own homebrews. The barman's creations bring a fresh approach to various spirits, with a touch of originality and well-balanced flavours.
In terms of the food, the manager brings influences from her Portuguese origins and her taste for travel. Her small dishes inspired by cuisines from around the world do not fail to intrigue: grilled octopus with popcorn purée, marinated ox tongue with pea granita and breaded scallops with homemade kimchi.
The Sunday brunch is well worth going out of your way for, with pancakes, eggs Benedict, bacon, orange and rosemary waffle with duck confit… There is something to suit all tastes: make your selection from the à la carte menu.
Le Blind Pig is a small establishment, so we recommend booking a table before you come. It does not have a drinks licence, so a meal must be ordered with all alcoholic drinks.
