An activity of discovery par excellence, caving will take you to the heart of the earth: stalactites, stalagmites, draperies... but also underground rivers to discover. Accessible to all. Our BE caving instructors will introduce you to the different techniques of progression: walking, abseiling... We offer outings to suit all levels.
Grotte de Balme, ideal for an introduction to speleology, with family (from age 5) or friends.
Allow 3 hours for the activity: 10-minute approach walk and 2h30 underground.
Introductory caving outing for all ages.
Grotte de Mégevette, more challenging, introduction to technical caving.
Allow 3 hours for this activity: 25-minute approach hike and 2h30 underground.
This cave features slides, galleries, handrails, climbing and unclimbing.
Grotte de l'Ermoy, at the foot of the Criou. Accessible from age 14 for those with previous caving or climbing experience, introduction to caving techniques of abseiling and fixed-rope ascents. Quite physical.
Grotte de la Diau at the foot of the Plateau des Glières. Full-day outing. Ages 12 and over.
